I can’t believe it. Another late Friday night briefing about PIP that is EVEN crueller than last week’s.
BREAKING: Labour will slash disability benefits for ONE MILLION people, including those who have difficulty dressing, washing, or eating.
Labour will also massively cut payments to people with neurodevelopmental conditions like autism and ADHD.

You know how vital PIP is — not just for individuals, but for the economy. And now, the news is that they want to make this essential lifeline EVEN HARDER to qualify for than it already is.
I have no new arguments to make. I’m just exasperated at this government now — literally balancing the books on the backs of the sick and disabled.
That’s what the Tories do.
Labour was set up to look after everyone — NOT JUST working people. The unions wanted to ensure that those who were sick or disabled were protected. It’s the party of the working classes — not just the working.
If the situation is so bad, why not admit that the National Insurance cuts introduced by the Conservatives — totalling £14bn — were never fully budgeted for, and in these difficult times, they must be reversed? That would be far easier for working people to swallow in the long term.
But under these current proposals, disabled people will die.
I had a fall on Tuesday evening, walking to my car with a friend. I collapsed completely. I’ve never had a fall like that before. I’m certain it’s the fear, worry, stress, and anxiety from this abusive drip, drip, drip coming from the government. Absolutely certain. And I know for a fact that others are experiencing even worse.
Calls to the Samaritans have soared — hundreds of times their usual levels.
Please, fight this strongly. These plans must not continue. A complete rethink is needed — not just rewording and tinkering.
Stop this madness.
